PROs to be honoured

TWENTY-EIGHT public relations practitioners and organisations are vying for the inaugural Public Relations Excellence Awards, Juma Walusimbi, the president of the Public Relations Association of Uganda, has said.

TWENTY-EIGHT public relations practitioners and organisations are vying for the inaugural Public Relations Excellence Awards, Juma Walusimbi, the president of the Public Relations Association of Uganda, has said.
“We got entries from the public and private sectors, consultancies, non-profit organisations, individuals and university students,†he said.
The awards ceremony will be held on April 27 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Walusimbi said the awards were aimed at recognising the best performing public relations officers (PROs) and those who have contributed to the profession’s growth.
