Dear Doctor,
My period cycle is 31 days and I miss periods some times. I missed for three months then had continuous light bleeding for three weeks. Please help.
Tina
Dear Tina,

What matters is that bleeding comes regularly, after the same number of days.
For a 31 days cycle, you will be missing bleeding in some calendar months because the number of days in a month varies.
Some are 28, 29, 30 and 31. So in some months, you will not bleed.
You say you missed for 3 months and then had prolonged bleeding for 3 weeks! Clearly, this is not a normal period. Tina, it is best you see a doctor.
The doctor will advise on what to do about the prolonged bleeding.
