AAR’s equipment is new

EDITOR—I would like to respond to a letter entitled: “AAR should get new equipment”, which appeared in The Sunday Vision of May 11.

EDITOR—I would like to respond to a letter entitled: “AAR should get new equipment”, which appeared in The Sunday Vision of May 11.

The writer alleges that our ultra-sound machine is second-hand and hence shows blurred images that can lead to incorrect diagnosis.

AAR would like to clarify that the machine we use for ultra-sound scans is brand new.

It is a “state-of-the art” machine with a very high resolution and can perform examinations ranging from two to three dimensions. This machine also covers a wide range of examinations from general abdominal and obstetrics/ gynaecology investigations to small parts such as the thyroid and prostate.
