Nkurunziza jets in tomorrow

THE President of Burundi, Pierre Nkurunziza, arrives in Uganda tomorrow on a three-day State visit during which he will meet President Yoweri Museveni.

THE President of Burundi, Pierre Nkurunziza, arrives in Uganda tomorrow on a three-day State visit during which he will meet President Yoweri Museveni.
The foreign affairs permanent secretary, James Mugume, said the leaders will discuss bilateral issues.
Mugume said the meeting would end on Saturday.
It will be preceded by the Joint Permanent Commission of Ugandan and Burundian foreign affairs, defence, minerals and agriculture ministry officials.
Mugume said the commission, would review minutes of the first session that was held in Bujumbura on February 2, 2007 and draft a report that will be presented to the presidents.
He said he two leaders are expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding.
Nkurunziza’s visit is in return for Museveni’s visit to Burundi in 2008, during which he participated in the international peace marathon in Bujumbura.
