FOR the second successive match, MTN-FUBA basketball league men’s champions D-Mark Power looked vulnerable without paying the ultimate price. Going with their shakiness into today’s encounter against the UCU Canons may be taking it too far.

On Wednesday they had to rely on an incredible 41 points in the final quarter to beat the Miracle Eagles 102-92 and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Four days earlier, the champions had been stretched by the lowly Knight Riders, whom they ultimately defeated 104-96.

“What the game showed us is that Power has the mental urge to win even when they are not playing well,” said Power technical director Peter Mubanda.
