MP raps govt on high deaths
LIRA-The Government needs to double its efforts to reduce maternal death, Lira Woman MP Rebecca Amuge has said. Speaking during a dialogue on reproductive health facilities in Lira town on Wednesday, Otengo said 435 out of 100,000 Ugandan mothers die during labour. This, she noted, was due to shortage of health facilities, health workers and essential commodities in the health units. The dialogue was organised by African women ministers and MPs.
