Mugabe loses as tour ends<br>- Uganda’s top tennis player Duncan Mugabe ended his Euro tour with a loss to Britain’s Liam in the the Great Britain F8 futures. Suffolk on Wednesday. Mugabe, who was making his debut on a grass court, went down 6-2 6-3

Mugabe loses as tour ends
- Uganda’s top tennis player Duncan Mugabe ended his Euro tour with a loss to Britain’s Liam in the the Great Britain F8 futures. Suffolk on Wednesday. Mugabe, who was making his debut on a grass court, went down 6-2 6-3 in the event which is part of the ITF/Futures circuit. Mugabe, featuring in his fifth tour event, is due to travel to the United States for a two-month high performance camp.

Kakira to face Central Tigers
- Central Tiger football club will take on Kakira Town Council in the quarter-finals of the Kyabazinga Cup on Sunday. Also into the last eight are King of Kings from Iganga who are pitted against Namanganga, Idudi FC due to face Bugembe in the annual competition.

Namakula fails Nairobi hurdle
- Uganda’s Flavia Namakula could only manage 10th position in the Kenya Ladies Open Amateur Strokeplay championships at the Royal Club in Nairobi. The handicap 5 player, who won the title last year, carded 76, 88, 83 and 80 in the event. The event that also had players from Kenya and Tanzania, was won by Kenya’s leading amateur golfer, Mary Karano. The champion raced to her fourth title having won between 2005 and 2007. The top foreign player was Tanzania’s Hawa Wanyeche in sixth position.
