Too many accidents on our roads!

Editor— Many people have lost their precious lives in a very painful way. I will concentrate on two areas in Kampala.

There is a zebra-crossing at Kitante Primary School where children have to cross the road.

However, motorists are not bothered about this and drive at break-neck speed. There is a very sharp corner as one approaches the Uganda Museum from kamwokya but surprisingly, there is only one speed hump!

Recently, I saw a taxi overturn at shoprite, Lugogo and wondered what could have caused it.

On close observation, I realised that there are many depressions on the road and cars speed when they get to this area.

I call upon the traffic police to work hand in hand with the works ministry to have the road repaired.

Several lives have been lost at this spot and yet nobody seems to think it is important enough to do something about it! Something should be done immediately to save precious lives.
