Snoops say it was one of the most glamorous weddings Kampala has seen this year. Last weekend Uganda Revenue Authority Commissioner for Tax Investigations, Patrick Mukiibi married Cynthia Makoha Nambuye, a Kenyan human rights lawyer, at the Serena Hotel, Kampala.

It was strictly by invite and paparazzi were, especially, not welcome. In fact security arrested and threw out a local tabloid snoop. But we managed to beat all that and bring you this.

The couple hired and sealed off the entire Serena Gardens. That is where they exchanged their vows. The ceremony was presided over by Pastor Robert

Kayanja of Miracle Centre Cathedral, Rubaga. It was also non-alcoholic although they had champagne. All tribes of drink and food were served to guests who were spread over 62 tables, each bearing 10 people.

Their list read like a who-is-who of Kampala’s high and mighty. Tycoon Michael Ezra, who had attended the kwanjula a week before, however, did not make it for the wedding.

Entertainment was provided by singers Juliana Kanyomozi, Silver Kyagulanyi, Isaiah Katumwa, Judith Babirye and comedian Pablo Kimuli among others.
