Official faces indictment
KAMWENGE - The acting Inspector General of Government (IGG) has instructed the chief administrative officer, Frank Ntaho, to interdict the community development officer in charge of water projects, Juliet Ninsiima, for the loss of over sh12m and abuse of office. In a letter of June 29, Raphael Baku told Ntaho to act within 60 days. The money was meant for poverty eradication programmes.
Districts urged enact bylaws
BUSHENYI - District councils have been urged to re-introduce by-laws to compel families to own granaries. Addressing women groups in Kanyabwanga sub-county on Sunday, the Woman MP, Mary Karooro Okurut, said the famine in some parts of the country was due to lack of food reserves. She donated sh500,000 to the groups.
