ANTHONY Bongole could join Brian Umony at SuperSport United this season if he impresses during his one-week trial that starts today.

The KCC FC midfielder arrived in Pretoria yesterday afternoon hoping to seal a deal with the South African champions.

“We hope to have the move sealed as soon as possible. I believe he has all that SuperSport needs,” Bongole’s agent, Mujib Kasule, confirmed yesterday.

SuperSport coach Gavin Hunt last week promised to unveil two new signings for the club.

According to Hunt, the arrivals were meant to replace departed forwards Lerato Chabangu and Elias Pelembe who have since joined cross town rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.

Ethiopian international Fikru Tefera who left for Czech side FK Mlada Boleslav was replaced by Cranes striker Umony.

Bongole and his former KCC teammate Umony, caught Hunt’s eye during KCC’s CAF Champions League meetings with the South African club last season. Bongole struck the goal that eliminated SuperSport in the return leg.
