A regional information and communication technology (ICT) magazine to provide practical technology solutions to professionals in the eastern African region has been launched. It was launched on Friday at Serena Hotel. Joyce Kyeyune Tonda, the managing director of ICT, said the magazine would change the face of ICT and act as a handbook for professionals.

Suspected impostors held
- KAMPALA
Three men claiming to be security operatives have been arrested over carrying out an illegal operation in which they arrested a man at Kyengera. Police on Sunday said Siraj Kasawuli, Hamidu Tumwine and Meddie arrested an unidentified man, whom they claimed had stolen a cow. The local authorities said the trio had been behind a number of arrests, intimidations and extortion in the area.

Army hands over 32 cattle
- MOROTO
The army has handed over 32 head of cattle to the Kenyan authorities recovered in Bukwo district in the past three months. The UPDF 3rd division spokesperson, Capt. Henry Obbo, said on Friday the army recovered the animals after the Sabiny crossed to Kaceliba district in Kenya and raided the animals. He said the army would fight cross-border raids because they deter development.

MPs advise govt on health
- KAYUNGA
Members of the parliamentary committee on children’s affairs have advised the Government to put treated mosquito nets in hospitals and health centres to protect patients from malaria. The committee members led by their chairperson, who toured Kayunga hospital on Thursday, said the absence of mosquito nets in the wards exposed children and other patients to the risk of malaria.
