The Police in Masaka on Wednesday recovered the body of a policeman dumped in Kyalusowe on the Masaka-Kampala highway. Deogratius Wamale’s body was first spotted by residents at about 1:00pm in a parked Tata lorry belonging to a fish company. The body had bruises in the neck and blood clots in the mouth.
Man charged on wife attack

The man who allegedly cut his former wife with a panga, injuring her seriously, was on Tuesday charged with assault. Paul Kakooza, a resident of Misenyi landing site in Koome sub-county, appeared before Grade I Magistrate, Sarah Langa. Kakooza allegedly attacked Prosy Nalugwa in the night of August 16, and cut her several times before he escaped. He had accused her of unfaithfulness. Kakooza was hiding in a nearby forest from where he was arrested.
