GERMAN sports development expert Gunter Lange has appealed to domestic coaches at all levels to embrace modern training techniques in a bid to attain international glory.

Lange made the call when he was introduced to local officials at the residence of the German Ambassador Reinhard Bochholz in Kampala.

“Uganda has the talent but developing it well is the problem,” Lange observed.

“We need well-trained coaches who can handle development of that talent and that is exactly what I have come to do.

“I want to help Uganda develop its own class of quality good coaches.
With the support of government, Lange will open regional sports development centres.

The centres will integrate sports development with education.
Lange, who has worked in over 40 countries including China and Indonesia, is in the country for four years.
