EDITOR—I would like to add my voice to that of James Taylor Mwesigwa about Henry Mirima’s conduct. I have always found Mirima’s utterances wanting. He has never advocated unity in diversity by ever imagining that the Baganda can co-exist with the Banyoro!

His insensitivity sometimes borders on inciting the two tribes to go for each other’s throats! His utterances carry a hate campaign against the Baganda and everything bad is always done by a Muganda! If the likes of Mirima are encouraged to continue with their diatribe, we shall end up with riots as is the case in Kibaale. Someone ought to ask Mirima to be cautious with his inflammatory statements.

There are many intermarriages between the Baganda and Banyoro and I appeal to him to be a bit more sensitive. We don’t want the kind of situation that befell Rwanda in 1994.

EDITOR—It seems to me that for Henry Ford Mirima, nothing good can come from Buganda! I wish he could control his anger and live in the present.
