SOCCER governing body FUFA has withdrawn a case it filed against former national coach Laszlo Csaba.

Csaba left Cranes mid-way their last World Cup qualification campaign to join Hearts in Scotland, upsetting FUFA.

The suit was withdrawn after Kiggundu raised a preliminary objection recently saying FUFA is “a non entity that cannot sue”.

FUFA lawyer Kiryowa Kiwanuka and Herbert Kiggundu representing Csaba, yesterday signed a withdrawal letter before Justice Yorokamu Bamwine. Both parties will bear their own costs.

Kiryowa admitted that the procedure FUFA used to bring the suit against Csaba was wrong because FUFA “is an unincorporated body”.

Kiggundu argued that “a non-existent person (FUFA) cannot sue and once court is made aware, the plaintiff is incapable of instituting action in court”.

In his argument to court, Kiggundu stated that since “FUFA could not be recognised by law, all its action against Csaba should be rendered null and void”.
