THE national women U-20 football head coach Majidah Nantanda has cut her squad from 41 players to 24 ahead of this week’s residential training at Kavumba Recreation Centre in Wakiso.

The squad that has been in non-residential training for the last two weeks, are preparing to play Rwanda in a World Cup qualifier first leg next week.

Nantanda announced a squad of 24 after training at Kyambogo University grounds yesterday. She said that she was optimistic they would triumph over Rwanda.

“All the girls are talented and impressive. The only problem is they lack experience but what is important will be the tactical approach to the game which we are working on now,” said Nantanda.

Nantanda is being assisted by Haruna Kebba. Cranes tactician Robert Williamson has also previously given tips to the team.
