KAMULI-LC leaders, who claim to be the financiers of government development programmes, tarnish the image of the NRM party, lands state minister Asumani Kiyingi has said. Kiyingi said the leaders use the programmes to build their popularity, which undermines the party. Kiyingi made the remarks at Kasaka Primary School in Bulopa sub-county during the 47th independence celebrations on Sunday.

Three held over theft
TORORO-Three men have appeared in court over theft of a bull worth sh800,000. Alfred Maanga, 60, Charles Ochwo, 46 and Alimansi Juma, 39, are said to have stolen the bull from a resident of Kisoko sub-county only identified as Ochai. They denied the allegations and were remanded at Morukatipe Prison.
