EDITOR—The standard of St. Joseph’s Katabi Primary School in Entebbe is being compromised by the school management. As a concerned parent, I want to point out the vices of the leadership. The management of the school does not listen to teachers’ complaints. On several occasions teachers have not been paid their salaries for illegitimate reasons.

The school management fuels petty grudges between teachers and does not listen to the parents’ complaints! As a result, the teachers have become demoralised and it is the pupils who are being affected in the long- run. The teachers are increasingly dodging their class time.

Others attend class but utilise half of the lesson time. As parents, we have complained to the District Education Officer Entebbe for five months now, but nothing is being done.

We request the Ministry of Education to intervene and save our school from deteriorating further. We can’t go on like this!
