Terence Awaa, the district labour officer, died at Lacor Hospital in Gulu district on Monday. Awaa was involved in a buss accident at Jeja village in Masindi district last Wednesday. Five people died on the spot and others sustained serious injuries when their bus hit a trailer carrying building materials to Southern Sudan. Those who died on the spot were Bosco Aweno, Barbra Alyek, Dickens Ogen, Michael Oder and Stephen Wasiwa from Iganga.

The Police are hunting for three suspected leaders of a mob that lynched a 62-year-old woman over witchcraft at Apaa village in Pabbo sub-county. The mob also destroyed the woman’s property. The residents accused Vincentina Atto of killing a boy, only identified as Anywar, using witchcraft. The regional Police commander, Martin Amoru, on Tuesday said the mob leaders fled when they saw the Police.
