THE Uganda Super League resumes today with Boroboro, Masaka LC and Hoima playing host in the three games on card. The league returns after a three-week break as the spotlight shifts from CECAFA to local action.

Today’s schedule initially had six matches but the others were extended after teams with Cranes players complained of fatigue.

The Cranes returned last night from their CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup triumph in Nairobi.

Matches involving Express, KCC and Police were pushed to tomorrow while those featuring Bunamwaya and URA are for Thursday.

URA coach Moses Basena, who had three players fielded in Kenya, insisted that FUFA gives them at least a three days’ rest. The league champions travel to Bombo for a date with Simba.

KCC tactician Sam Ssimbwa, who is also assistant to Cranes coach Robert Williamson also pleaded for more time.
The initial fixture would have had Ssimbwa arriving in Kampala long after his side’s match with Maji.

Ssimbwa asked the league’s organisers to be considerate given that he had been away on Cranes duty for over a month. He said he had since lost contact with the KCC camp.
