KAMPALA - Two Forum for Democratic Change legislators on Tuesday complained in Parliament that local council officials were registering residents in their constituencies.

Kassiano Wadri (Terego) and Geoffrey Ekanya (Tororo) told the House chaired by the deputy Speaker, Rebecca Kadaga, that they were concerned about the on-going house-to-house registration.

Ekanya said he had been informed that it was a directive from the NRM secretariat to assess the strength of the party.

Ethics and integrity minister Nsaba Butuuro said the allegations by the two MPs were grave and he needed time to come up with a statement.
