EXPRESS FC booked a Kakungulu Cup quarterfinal against SC Villa after a 3-1 spot kick victory over Mbarara United at Kakyeka yesterday.

Goalkeeper Godfrey Wakabu scored one before saving two penalties to eject Mbarara. Mandatory time had ended 1-1. The two sides clash again in a Uganda Super League match at the same venue tomorrow.

Today, the army flies their Simba FC team in a military chopper against Boroboro in the league as motivation to keep their impressive away performance.

Simba beat Youfra another Super League based in Lira 2-1 in the first round when the army flew the team in the chopper for the first time last year.

Norman Katende adds that Parliament will today honour Cranes for lifting the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup last month.

North youth MP Hamson Obua is to move a motion in Parliament this afternoon, in honour of the side, that beat Kenya 1-0 to lift the cup.

“We have been informed and we have asked FUFA to mobilize the players to attend the session. They will be in the gallery as the debate goes on,” said assistant sports commissioner Omara Apitta yesterday.
