MULAGO Darts Club asserted their prowess on the local scene with a 7-3 victory over Nile in Jinja to retain the national league title.

The win marked the third consecutive victory for the national referral hospital side that has collected all the darts accolades this season.

Mulago are also reigning champions in the Super Cup and Inter-Club Knockout, besides aiding Kawempe Division to retain the Inter-district title.

Top seed Isaac Oteba and seed two Robert Okori sealed the victory in the first double in the national league play-off at Nile Garden Pub on Sunday.

Ronald Kalete and Geoffrey Onen were the only two who managed to pull off wins for Nile as Oteba gave Mulago the momentum with a 2-0 whitewash over Perez Jamagara in the top order.

After Oteba saw off Jamagara with a 76 checkout, Okori, Patrick Ochieng, Allan Besigye, Patrick Opolot and Emanuel Bitwire all seized the initiative.

Mulago stopped Leisure Tec 7-1 in the semi-final while Nile beat Mukono to reach the final.
