KABAROLE - Three robbers armed with an AK-47 rifle last Tuesday morning waylaid a vehicle carrying cigarettes and grabbed over sh8m. The western region Police spokesperson, Elly Matte, said the driver, Felix Tumuramye, the sales man, Sydney Kastro and a security guard were ambushed at a fake road block on Katwe - Kabatoro road. The car, registration number UAH 456D, was abandoned by the thugs.

Bishop asks for more support

BUSHENYI - The Bishop of West Ankole Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Yonah Katoneene, has called upon the Government to provide more support to people with disabilities. Katoneene was last Monday officiating at the handover of 45 wheel-chairs to the disabled persons at Katungu Mothers Union Centre donated by the West Ankole Mothers Union in collaboration with the district Rotary Club.
