Foreigners are often interested in heritage and there is no better site to have a sound grasp of cultural heritage than visiting these two spots.
Particular bumper areas include Jam Sessions on Mondays, the fun-packed weekends when there are plays, the African Village and the Theatre’s annex. Pass by. You could introduce yourself and exchange business cards.
Garden City
It is one of the best places to hangout out at no cost. Many whites shop at Garden City, especially, on weekends.
Garden City is a variety milieu, with casinos, Cineplex, banks, shops and cafeterias, Alleygators and many more.
Ambassadors’ residences
This is a tight option open to who-is-who, but if you have a friend known in the circles, then glue on him or her and get yourself into action. Ambassadors throw parties occasionally. They also give dos on their national occassion like independence anniversaries. But if you cannot get an invite, go with a friend.
Alliance Francaise
Do you speak French? If you do, don’t you need practice with Frenchmen and women? If not, good still; you can go for it and become etudiant de francaise (a French student). You will meet enough whites to choose from. There are so many people but if you do not fancy the French, this isn’t the place for you.
Capital Pub
At Tankhill in Kabalagala, you do not need a specific day to get the best of wazungu. They are there Monday through Sunday.
And the good thing is they are also hunting. And entrance is free. But it’s not worth going to before 11:00pm.
Rock Bar (Speke Hotel)
Located in the heart of Kampala on Nile Avenue, this is a happening place. But sadly, too, one of the Red Light areas in Kampala. But you do not have to fear the competition because you are there to hook up and they are there to make fast cash. That difference matters to whites who intend to stay longer in Uganda.

Bubbles, as it is affectionately known, is an Irish pub, tucked away on a back road of Acacia Avenue, close to the Golf course. Friday is the night-to-be, but even on other days of the week, the whites file in. Its popularity among the white community in Kampala is rated only second to Capital Pub. Entrance is sh5,000.
Just Kicking-Kisementi
You fancy a Briton? Look no further. They hang out here most of the time and all you have to do is to time the day cricket is showing and you surely will be hooked. Now learn the basics of cricket so that you can flow with them.
Casinos, the gambling nights
Thanks to their variety of lifestyle, whites frequent Casinos to gamble. You, too, can get in there, not to gamble your fortune but your heart.
Try Kampala Casino on Kimathi Avenue, The Grande Casino, Casino Simba (Garden City,) Mayfair Casino and lately, the Pyramids Casino on Yusuf Lule Road.
