THE Forum for Democratic Change is not involved in a petition to recall Rubaga North MP Beti Kamya from Parliament, the party’s secretary general, Alice Alaso, has said.

Alaso said on Thursday that although Kamya was suspended from the party, she was still a member.

“We are not party to her recall process. It’s her voters to decide,” Alaso said.
A month after she was suspended from the party, a rival group led by Patrick Ssempijja, a former independent candidate who lost to Kamya in the 2006 elections wants her out of Parliament.

Over 8,000 voters have reportedly signed a petition to recall Kamya, accusing her of failure to represent their interests.
