The FIFA World Cup trophy (top) will for the first time come to Uganda in November, courtesy of Coca Cola.

‘‘As one of the sponsors of the World Cup we would like to give Ugandans a feel of the trophy at least for a day before the hosting of the event for the first time in Africa,” Steve Okeyo, Coca Cola’s senior operations and marketing manager, Uganda, revealed the development at Serena Hotel yesterday.

He said the trophy will traverse the whole continent for two months in November and December.

He added that Ugandans will have a chance to spend a whole day partying and taking photographs with it. However, the arrival date is yet to be confirmed.

Last year Ugandans welcomed the English Premiership trophy.
