News of his newly acquired monster machine caused untold excitement among his fans. A month and weeks later, singer Jose Chameleone’s prized Escalade is still parked in the compound!
Not because he has not paid tax, Chameleone has no money to clear materials for pimping his car! The singer reportedly imported the car from the US at $10,000 (sh20m), paid $4,000 (sh8m) for shipment, paid sh12m taxes, sh5m (for customised registration plate – LEONE) and a fine of sh1m for driving the car to his home and not to the bond as required by the law. But the singer is not contented.
He wants to pimp up the car to the tune of sh15m. That is what is reportedly giving him sleepless nights. Laughable, huh? Snoops say he only occasionally drives the car at night, going to Lubowa Estates at Quality Village Supermarket for a drink.
Meanwhile, we wonder what happened to the singer’s sh7m pledge to Owino Market vendors who fell victim to the recent fire. The last time we checked, he had only paid sh500,000.
