I was glad to see her because she was my ideal lady in all aspects - size, complexion, smartness and accent. In her, I saw a very intelligent and nice lady. I was not surprised when she told me she had a boyfriend. A campus girl cannot fail to have one. When I told her I reside in Kamwokya, she said: “I like that place is because it produces many musicians.”

I gave her directions to my place and we exchanged contacts thereafter. Have you called her since the date? No, but I am planning to do it tonight.

What will you tell her?
I will ask her for love and invite her for a more serious talk another day.

Any lessons from the date?
If you seriously want something, do not hesitate; just hit the nail on the head.

Would you have another date with Mary given a second chance?
The problem is that she does not go clubbing and neither does she drink.

You have different personalities, can you handle her?
I can because she is patient and kind.

I arrived first and when he came, he sat beside me. After the usual chat, he asked what I was doing there. I told him I was having leisure. He asked what I do and I told him I am a student at Makerere University.

He told me he studied art and design and is currently a designer. Along the way, he tried to convince me to take booze but I rejected it because I am a teetotaller. When I told him I am a Munyoro, he asked me to teach him my language. I told him he would easily forget it since he had even forgotten my name within few minutes.

“I hope things won’t end here. I want us to continue as friends,” he requested. But I told him I had a boyfriend and he said there was no problem with that. He asked me to visit him and I promised to do it. We exchanged contacts and agreed to keep in touch.

The things you liked about him
He was friendly and humorous. He also spoke well and complimented my looks.

Where he did not impress?
He is cheeky; can you imagine he asked for a kiss? He also drinks a lot.

Have you communicated yet?
Not yet but I will call him over the weekend when the call rates are lower.

Would you go out with him again?
No, I would not.

But you are willing to visit him at his house...
Yes, when I visit, I can just pass by but an outing means a lot.
