EDITOR—It is with shock and sadness that I read your story on Monday in which a number of damaging and false accusations were made about me and members of my church. Whilst it is not our policy to respond to media articles, I feel the baseless nature of the allegations require a response. Firstly, I have never been involved in any efforts to undermine or discredit any pastors or individuals at Rubaga Miracle Centre.

I have no quarrel or anything personal against Pastor Kayanja or my Christian brothers and sisters at Rubaga Miracle Centre.
My struggle has been and will continue to be the fight for the increasing number of victims of sodomy in our society.

If this has been misinterpreted as an effort to discredit Pastor Kayanja, it is an unfortunate, dangerous and unfounded insinuation.

Secondly, your article made another allegation linking the alleged kidnapping of Pastor Kayanja’s aide to me and emanating from our supposed personal rivalry.

Your article located this supposed rivalry as having originated from my “split away” from Miracle Centre. For the record, I have never been a pastor of Rubaga Miracle Centre and I have never been engaged in as nefarious an act as kidnapping.
That such a baseless insinuation could be made in your paper without establishing the facts is most unfortunate.

I believe that your article has fallen victim to a fake controversy manufactured to divert attention to what has increasingly become an unacceptably fast growing evil of sodomy in our society. I will continue to stand up for the voiceless victims of sodomy and to advocate the urgent redress of their desperate plight.
