NTUNGAMO-Animal industry state minister Maj. Bright Rwamirama has warned officials of the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) against conniving with farmers to steal money meant to fight poverty. He warned that such officials would face arrest. Rwamirama, who inspected NAADS projects in the district recently, was commenting about a report that officials in Ntungamo stole NAADS money amounting to sh5m.

Farmers given piglets, goats
KASESE-The National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) recently gave farmers in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council piglets, chicks, goats and banana suckers worth over sh21m. NAADS area programme coordinator Gertrude Ithungu urged the farmers to use the items to fight poverty. Town clerk Eva Biira said the Government would continue funding community projects to fight poverty among households.
