Nakivubo finally sacks Semujju<br>- Nakivubo stadium manager Eugene Semujju who was suspended in February has finally been sacked. Semujju got the boot on Monday for what the board of trustees termed as insubordination.

- Nakivubo stadium manager Eugene Semujju who was suspended in February has finally been sacked. Semujju got the boot on Monday for what the board of trustees termed as insubordination. Board chairman Godfrey Kisekka confirmed the decision which he attributed to sports state minister Charles Bakkabulindi. Semujju was suspended for releasing information about the aborted leasing of a piece of stadium land for construction of a bus terminal.

Uganda schools’ champions St. Mary’s College Kisubi successfully concluded its tour of Kenya at the weekend with two convincing wins. Kisubi beat Kenya and East African champions Kakamega High 18-14 in a hotly-contested game before outwitting St Peters Mumia 12-6. The team’s tour ended with a 10-10 draw with Mukumu.
Egg-throwing fans under fire
- Real Betis criticised fans who threw eggs and shouted abuse at their own players as they left the club’s training ground in their cars on Monday. “There are many ways to show your unhappiness with the sporting situation we are experiencing,†Betis said on thier website (www.realbetisbalompie.es), adding that “violence is unacceptable.â€
