POLICE strikers Bruno Olobo and Peter Ssenyonjo have a chance of edging Uganda Super League leading scorer Ceaser Okhuti today.

Bunamwaya’s Okhuti, still recovering from injuries sustained in a motor accident, will be missing when his side hosts Simba SC this afternoon.

Okhuti fell off a motorcycle a week ago, injuring his knees and hands.
The striker’s coach Jackson Mayanja confirmed that he will not feature today.

“It is indeed a great opportunity for my strikers to get to the summit,” an anxious Police coach Angelo Lonyesi said yesterday.

The cops visits Victors FC at Jinja's Kakindu stadium.
However, Lonyesi couldn't commit himself on who of the two will take pole position.

“Olobo has been scoring consistently. But on a good day Ssenyonjo can also fire in several goals,” noted Lonyesi, citing the cops’ last encounter against Boroboro where Ssenyonjo hit a hat trick.

Despite their chase for the top scorer's boot, the two have displayed good teamwork with Ssenyonjo doing a lot of spadework for his colleague.
The top scorer's race aside, the focus will also be on the tie involving Bunamwaya and Simba.

The soldiers will be out to pay back for their first round and Kakungulu Cup losses to the same opponents.
But Bunamwaya has lately been struggling with consecutive defeats against Express, SC Villa and KCC.

Coach Mayanja, who sounded confident about a change of fortune, attributed their bad run to injuries and indiscipline.
