THE Forum for Democratic Change party (FDC) has asked the Government to review the current mode of university sponsorship, saying it is regionally imbalanced.
“The admissions favour the well-to-do,†said Alice Alaso, the secretary general and shadow minister for education and sports.
Alaso was on Monday speaking at the party’s press conference in Kampala. She said according to the list, the northern and eastern regions were not adequately catered for.
She said only 210 students were admitted from the north and 450 from the east.
“If it this is not reviewed, people will be justified to feel that they do not belong to Uganda. Such situations tear the country apart,†Alaso said.
