Sadolin Power has pulled out of the Africa Zone 5 basketball club championships due to tip off in Rwanda this weekend. Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) president Ambrose Tashobya confirmed yesterday that the federation received confirmation to that effect from the club. Nkumba Marines and KCC Leopards will represent Uganda in the event.

Kibaki rewards
The victorious Kenya World Championships medal winners will be paid by the government for the effort that saw Kenya come second in the medal standings after the USA. Gold medal winners will earn Ksh0.5m(sh12.5), silver medallists, sh7.5m and bronze medallists, sh5m.

Fimbo predicts
Former Uganda Cranes striker Andrew ‘Fimbo’ Mukasa has predicted a Cranes victory over Niger in the Nations Cup qualifier t Namboole on Saturday. “Cranes will qualify, though they were unfortunate not to beat Lesotho,” he remarked. Mukasa is undergoing treatment for a psychological illness.
