IN 2001, Natasha Sinayobye stormed showbiz afloat the Obsessions Dance Group. Her stunning looks caught the attention of everyone in Kampala.

The gorgeous Natasha later broke off to join Kombat Dance Group, where she works with her boyfriend of over four years, Michael Kasaija. The two have a child. Pidson Kareire had a chat with her

What is it like working with your boyfriend in the same dance group?
Good. It is fun because none misses the other and we are still discovering ourselves. It has pushed us to another level. We encourage each other and build our career together. We have learnt to agree to disagree and life becomes better.

Your beauty must be a necessary liability. How do you deal with its consequences?
I am a committed wife; I make sure people know my commitment. For the lustful, I blast off. I no longer flirt.

What is wrong with flirting?
It definitely leads to infidelity; that is why I stopped it the day I started moving out with him. It is playing around with someone’s mind, feelings and arousing their emotions. It wastes time.

You mean Kasaija gave you nothing to woo you?
Surely if someone buys chocolate, is that being materialistic? He has never stopped buying chocolates. I guess I fell for his willingness to apologise and his dance skills. Dance is a romantic gesture. He is good, has humour and is strong-hearted. I learnt all these about him before we moved out.

Have you ever held a man at ransom for love?
No. That is taking advantage of something and I don’t do it. I always put myself in his shoes to feel the pain; it is a painful experience, I find it difficult to do it.

What is your tool for love?
Honesty plus understanding result into successful marriage or relationship.
