Things get better as Maxwell leaves the house

WOW! Things are getting better by the day as enemies to the Ugandan housemate continue suffering extinction from the Big Brother Africa house — Oh yes, extinction indeed.

WOW! Things are getting better by the day as enemies to the Ugandan housemate continue suffering extinction from the Big Brother Africa house — Oh yes, extinction indeed.

Meanwhile, our predictions in the DStv/M-Net’s reality show continue getting cast in stone, at least for now.

I declare you wise voters after you decided on Sunday that Zambia’s Maxwell be the fourth housemate to be evicted from the house.

The call centre attendant had not seen it coming at all. Presenter Kabelo’s verdict baffled him like a huge punch in the face, as he could not believe he was being evicted.

He wore the face of a jilted lover as he walked out of the house in robotic motion.

The moment of truth was even worse on the side of his gang-up buddies, Lerato, Kweku and Bertha, otherwise known as the T-Unit, which the voters branded the untouchables.

Interestingly though, they continue getting touched where it hurts most. For instance South Africa’s Lerato, who was madly in love with Maxwell fell off her seat, to the ground on knowing she would do without the romance for her coming tenure in the house.

And there is more disillusionment to face Maxwell who was full of praise for the South African. “She’s on fire,” he said, “she will be there until the end.” Was he sure about this?

It is just as well that he did not say Lerato would win the money. And for those who thought Maureen was a weaker contender, there is room to reconsider.

Like Maxwell told Kabelo in the interview after his eviction, Maureen has a chance of winning the money. We cannot conclude on that just yet, but that is what Maxwell thinks. Let us wait and see, considering that the Ugandan beauty has upped her game.

There are now eight housemates left in the house, and all have their eye on the $100,000 (sh175m). To think the entire Africa united to throw Maxwell out of the house (apart from his country, Zambia) must be killing the Zambian softly, as he would wonder why he was hated that much.

Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe and the rest of Africa all cast their votes against Maxwell.

Zambia, of course had to save its housemate, and voted against Richard. Tatiana, who was the third nominee did not have any countries against her.

The post-eviction blues gripped the house on different angles. On the side of the so-called untouchables, it was agony. But on the side of Maureen, Code, Tatiana, Richard and Ofunneka, also known as The Big Five, it was ecstasy.

The Big Five jubilated, The Untouchables cried. Tatiana who had been put on the list of possible evictees by Lerato danced to her victory in the company of Ofunneka. The others of The Big Five tried to cushion their happiness, but you could see it tear through their façade.

Meanwhile, Kweku and Bertha went to the boy’s room to comfort their crybaby Lerato, who appeared as though Maxwell had died.

Now with two of Maureen’s enemies gone, we can now jubilate and count on throwing out the other three; Kweku, Lerato and Bertha. It is likely that they will be up for eviction this week. By press time yesterday, the nominations had not yet come through. But you can count on us to give you the update tomorrow and guide you on who to throw out of the house.

Meanwhile, Mediage PR, which is managing MTN’s publicity of the reality show in Uganda, continues enlarging its list of invited guests to partake of the eviction drama at a weekly eviction party at Faze2.

On Sunday, over five hundred guests turned up for the eviction party, a much higher number compared to the previous three evictions.

So by voting out your least favourite housemate, you stand a chance to attend the eviction parties at Faze2 every Sunday until the end of the show.
