Headteachers tipped

JINJA-The district education officer, Abraham Were, has advised teachers to emphasise the teaching of Christian and Islamic religious education in schools in order to inculcate morals among the children. Were was addressing headteachers and teachers from Kamuli, Iganga, Mayuge and Jinja districts at the Jinja town hall where he distributed 8,000 easy to read Bibles. “It is our duty to emphasise morality. We are challenged to live by example. Children can only have morals when they are disciplined and are God-fearing.”
