JULIANNA Kanyamozi is re-emerging from the shadows, with her latest songs dominating the airwaves. We reveal what you want to know about her.

Role model: Julia Sebutinde. She is an amazing woman. She is one of the women who rise above everything and become a force. It is amazing how she looks when she is sitting in front of a court and gets tough and all men are shaking. I love women like that. If I wasn’t a singer I think I would have loved to be like her.

Beauty products: Japanese Cherry Blossom lotions and M.A.C and L’oreal make up.

Shoes: I wear shoes according to what I am going to do. If I am going for performances, I wear high heels. Most of the time I wear high heels because of the job I do and I am comfortable in high heels. It is only that high heels are not good for women’s legs.

Hair: At the moment it is short because it is easy to style and it brings out a woman’s features.

Hobbies: Reading and watching TV.

A Ugandan product you are proud of: Eshabwe (Ghee sauce). I miss it when I don’t have access to it. Apart from eshabwe, there is Royco Muchuzi mix, but I don’t know whether it is made in Uganda or Kenya! But if I am travelling and I know I must do some cooking I don’t leave it behind. And for eshabwe if it was not smelly I would also carry it.

Gossip: I just ignore it. No matter what you do in life, people will never stop talking. If you spend all your life caring about what people are going to say about you, you miss out on other things.

Your son: I keep him out of the limelight. I don’t bring him to publicplaces where he has nothing to do. Secondly, I make sure my son is entertained; he goes out but to the right places as a child. I cannot go with him to the concert; because he will be exposed to all kind of things.

Revelation: People do not know that I am very emotional. I can see something happening to someone and I start crying. Say if something good happens or I see someone winning I end up crying. I guess people don’t know that about me.
