NHCC launches Lubowa estate

THE National Housing and Construction Company’s (NHCC) has launched a housing estate at Lubowa, off Entebbe Road, writes Mikaili Sseppuya.

The chief executive officer, Henry Kitamirike, said the 17 bungalows at the estate cost sh3b, adding that 100 houses had been constructed in the estate.

“I am in the negotiation stage of buying one of the houses. They are better value for money at around $160,000 (sh280m) than houses I have seen in Kololo which go for around $400,000 (sh700m),” Patrick Iga, a systems engineer living in the US, said during the launch of the 17 bungalows.

Kitamirike said they had sold most of the houses in the estate as shells.
