FUFA Competitions Committee secretary Moses Magogo has threatened to resign as pressure mounts on him to approve sub standard pitches and club logos. The development comes ahead of the Super soccer League that kicks off on November 2.

Magogo explained that many clubs have not responded to his pleas to have their stadia ready for the new season.
The official said only Nakivubo, Namboole and Mbarara’s Kakyeka stadiums out of 12 conform to conditions required to host matches.

Nakivubo is home ground to KCC, Villa, Simba, Maji, Bunamwaya while Namboole is home to league champions URA and Police FC. League debutantes Biharwe are based at Kakyeka stadium.

A total of 18 clubs will compete in domestic soccer’s premier competition.
FUFA officials who inspected various stadiums last week reported that many were unsuitable to stage matches.
Many were ruled out for lack of a perimeter fence.

Magogo added that many officials of the unsuitable venues were putting him under pressure to approve their facilities.
