Soccer fans expect better competition than in the past years. A New Vision survey on the streets of Kampala indicated many think Villa will win the opener today.

Shaban Kitafudwa
- KCC fan
I would rather none of them (Villa or Express) wins to give my team an edge when we meet sometime to come, in the season. But I know Villa will win because they (Villa) have been together for more time than Express.

Winston Agaba
- Villa fan
I look forward to a balanced game because both sides will be playing defensive. None of them will want to concede a goal first. GTV is the greatest thing that has presented itself to local football. I will start my journey to Namboole at 5pm.

Yasin Kajubi
- Villa fan
I am waiting for our time to confirm superiority over Express. They talk so much but Villa will win 1-0. It is good this game will be on TV for everybody to judge which team plays better football.

Mujib Kasule
-KCC fan
My prediction is Villa 2 Express 1. Villa has recruited massively and they blend better than Express who started training late. This game has come too early for Express because they are yet to discover their rhythm. Augustin Nsumba and Henry Kisekka will score if given a chance to play.

Joshua Orlando
- Arsenal fan
I gave up on local football and sought solace in supporting Arsenal. But for love of local football, let’s first appeal to the fans not to fight. I expect a mother of all fights at Namboole if Express does not win.

John Tamale
- Express fan
The televised games will eventually get fans back to watch the local league, especially the youth who are yet to identify with local clubs.
Tell the Police to be more vigilant but not act on reflex. We can benefit so much from the televised games but it can also sell our image negatively if there is riot and teargas in the stadiums as usual.

Mariam Komuhendo
-Proline
I predict Express will lose. Our boys have played both teams and it was easier for them to win against Express than Villa.
To me, the best thing about the game is that I will for the first time get to watch a league game from home.

Badiru ‘Madrid’
- Masaka LC fan
It is only KCC that can beat Villa this season. Express are not organised and I hear their players have also started complaining about none payment even before kick-off.

Moris Kayiira
- Express fan
It is not possible for a big club like Express FC to fall to their rival twice in a row. It is actually our turn to win 2-0.

Ibrahim Mbuga
- Express fan
I don’t like Villa but they have better new players than Express. I predict 1-1 draw.
