TWENTY-FOUR men suspected to have attacked herdsmen in Apac have been charged with aggravated robbery. Grade One Magistrate Felix Omalla remanded the suspects to Atopi Prison until November 15.

TWENTY-FOUR men suspected to have attacked herdsmen in Apac have been charged with aggravated robbery. Grade One Magistrate Felix Omalla remanded the suspects to Atopi Prison until November 15.

Prosecution told court that the suspects committed the crime against the Balaalo (pastoralists).

Among those charged were Geoffrey Oyuru, Denis Coto, Patrick Opono, Joshua Ocen, Tom Ekwang, Alfred Ebong, Geffory Ebong and Emmanuel Abak.

A team of Police detectives has since camped in Apac to investigate the violence.

The suspects were arrested following an attack on the herdsmen, where 84 cows were slaughtered and over 170 were injured.
