When she arrived, I was on phone. I actually saw her after she had sat. She was nervous, so I tried to be easy and go slow, focusing mainly on general issues to calm her down.

She is easy to talk to, truthful, reserved and, above all an Adventist. Adventists are usually more genuine, truthful and religious than other people. I don’t think she told me a single lie in the time we spent there.

So are you about to ‘strike’?
Not really. To be sincere to you, Miriam is such a nice girl and can make a good girlfriend. But the problem with us is that I am much taller than her. We sort of became incompatible in terms of height. She is short, I am too tall.

What did you want her to do that she did not do?
I wanted us to stay a bit longer but she was in a hurry to go.

What is the way forward now?
I want her to be my good friend. I want more time with her to know her and like her better.
Apart from the height, she would be a good candidate for a relationship.

What don’t people like about you?
My temper
What do people find attractive about you? My sincerity
What would you love your mystery dream date be? A gentle, loving, caring man
What makes you laugh? Cartoon-like acts (jokes)

I got this feeling that he did not like me the moment he saw me. It was like he expected someone else! He did not stand to welcome me, he did not even notice me till I greeted him. He was neither humourous nor courteous.

But did you like him?
He is a gentleman, very cautious and friendly. He is also adventurous and must be an enterprising man.

Would you take him on as a boyfriend?
I think he can make a good boyfriend. But he is too tall! He also talks softly like a woman. I kept asking him to repeat his sentences.

What did you want him to do that he did not do?
I wanted closer contact; a handshake, a hug or even a peck. I also expected him to be calling me. I do not know if he expects me to call him. I cannot because it is unladylike.
Even if I loved a man so much, I would not be the first to call him.

Any advice to guys on a date?
Yes, show some respect please. Even if you end up with someone you do not like, just be courteous. Stand for her, pull a chair, do not show you did not like her, initiate a conversation and try to make her laugh.
