DAIRY Development Authority (DDA) has cleared Fidodido Ice Cream plant, a month after closing it over poor hygiene.

Dr. Nathan Twinamasiko, the watchdog’s head had during the closure explained that Fidodido Ice Cream plant and Family Choice Mbarara lacked standard hygiene.

However, after a re-inspection exercise recently, DDA cleared the plants after improvements in their hygiene.

“Following our re-inspection, we have realised that you have taken our advice seriously and correct measures have been implemented as we had directed, so people are free to enjoy their products,” he said.

H.C.Lal, the Fidodido consultant, commended DDA for the routine check-up of their plant that he said had helped them improve their standards.

“We are grateful to DDA for their good work.

“We want to assure the public that we shall always remain number one on the market as far as quality is concerned,” Lal explained in an interview.
