SEVEN candidates are to contest for Bugweri County by-elections in Iganga district.
Godfrey Sempiima, the district returning officer, yesterday said the campaigns will kick off today.
The candidates are the third deputy prime minister, Kirunda Kivejinja, Abdu Katuntu, Solomon Nabeta, Sam Kakaire, Kalamawo Menyha, Godfrey Nabongho and Shaban Nkutu.
Kivejinja will launch his campaigns at Busesa trading centre, while Katuntu will launch his campaigns at the Makutu sub-county headquarters.
Joseph Biribonwa of the Electoral Commission said presiding officers and polling assistants will be recruited on November 26 and 27. “Upon enrollment, the commission shall display their names for six days.â€
