FOOTBALL governing body FUFA and clubs’ association SDCA have agreed that that clubs be allowed to determine gate charges game by game. The decision followed a request by Express FC secretary Julius Kavuma Kabenge for clubs to be allowed to set premium rates for big matches.

“Clubs are suffering simply because the fans are used to paying sh2000. Matches are different, if I am playing a team like Nalubaale at Wankulukuku I should be allowed to decide to say that entrance is sh5000,” Kabenge argued.

League secretary Moses Magogo welcomed the idea, but also warned that the clubs should not hike fees before informing the committee. Justus Mugisha, FUFA vice president, represented the association at the the meeting.

The league committee had previously set a standard gate fee of sh2000.
Meantime, the competition’s committee is set to meet today at FUFA House, Mengo to discuss fixtures with the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting (CHOGM) in mind.

Rajab Kisekka, who is in charge of the Super League, said that an urgent meeting had been called to address possible postponements.
