AFRICA body building bronze medalist Moses Ssebabi will lead a team of three to the 8th edition of the continental championship in Algiers, Algeria.

AFRICA body building bronze medalist Moses Ssebabi will lead a team of three to the 8th edition of the continental championship in Algiers, Algeria.

Ssebabi who won his medal in the welter weight category in last year’s championship in Egypt, will now compete in the middle weight category.

The African body building championships start December 2 and run to December 8.

The others on the team that leaves on Sunday, are reigning Mr.Kampala Ivan Byekwaso who will compete in the welter weight division, and Fred Munyagwa, who will compete in the heavyweight category.

The Nile Special Lager sponsored Ugandan team will be led by UBBF boss Twaha Ddungu.

Last year’s edition at which Ssebabi won bronze attracted 148 participants from eleven countries.

The team receives travel packages today from the sponsors. The team has been training at Nakivubo stadium.

For the past ten years, Africa has experienced a dramatic increase in bodybuilding’s popularity as more people are joining fitness centres to improve their strength and physical conditioning.
