Was that the same man?

EDITOR—Since the tragic death of Dr Jonah Kule, I have been confused by the two pictures of him published in the press. The one that appeared in the New vision of December 6, shows a grey-haired man with a scared or exhausted face who seems to be in his fifties.

EDITOR—Since the tragic death of Dr Jonah Kule, I have been confused by the two pictures of him published in the press. The one that appeared in the New vision of December 6, shows a grey-haired man with a scared or exhausted face who seems to be in his fifties.

According to the New vision that man was Dr. Kule. The picture which appeared in Bukedde on December 10 was that of a younger man with a chubby face and is the same which has been in Bukedde’s ebola stories. In a reprint of an earlier interview in the New vision, it was revealed that Dr. Jonah Kule was an intern in 2005!

This means he could not have been more that 37 years old, going by the interview and the picture. Is it possible the transformation was caused by the ebola infection?

Ed: There was a mix-up. The younger man was Dr Jonah Kule who died at Mulago and the older one was Joshua Kule, a senior clinical officer who died in Bundibugyo. We regret
the error.
